Did the Holocaust Happen?

Of course it happened, but can the question be posed?

For some, the Holocaust is used as impetus for policies and rhetoric, not unlike GW's use of 9/11 for everything Iraq.

By preventing debate over the Holocaust, or 9/11, you also stifle debate about it's merit with respect to policy, law, and pre-emptive activities.

I liken it to religious discussion in public schools -what is everyone so afraid of?
Will hearing about Mormons make my son give up coffee? Will reading about Islam make my niece a jihadist? Will challenging the Jewish monopoly on the Holocaust make my brother legally liable for listener who later commits a hate crime?

It has morphed from an intellectual discussion to an emotional indulgence, not unlike most current events - oh wait, the Holocaust is not a current event. But anti-Semitism certainly is.

I'm interested in seeing where Ahmadinejad's forum leads, heck, his last foray led to an art contest and Derkaoui Abdellah of Morocco was the finalist:
