Can a Temp be a Suicide Bomber?

Al Qaeda has officially posted a 'Help Wanted' sign;
I wonder what the benefits are, will they pay to relocate?
How about a death & dismemeberment policy?
What about temp-to-hire...sign-on bonus?

More United Colors?

I'm not sure about United Colors of Benetton's new lawn jockey ad, didn't they learn from their last marketing escapade?

HP and our honorable congress

Is it just me, or is there something ironic, or is it dysfunctional, about a corporation appearing before a congressional subcomittee for impropriety?

If I were under the spotlight, I would just say I was following the lead of elected officials such as senators Jefferson or Waters.

To me it is beyond credulity that a group as corrupt as our congress or senate enshrines itself as a forum for inquiry, the arrogance of it all!

Perhaps it's just ironic....

The Devil You Say?!?

My buddy Chavez is at it again, calling GW 'El Diablo' - the devil.

Interesting call since both men are maniacal, but I think Chavez is drifting toward paranoia at a much faster race.

What could be the future of a man aligning himself with the so-called downtrodden nations of the world - victims of US Emperialism and explotiation?

Yet he has spirited new and positive policies for his country, far more than any of the countries he's aligned with have. More progressive than any policy introduced in recent memory. It will be interesting to see his policies come to fruition, it could serve as a model for other Latin-American countries, and I dare say the US.

But he does need to remember that the responsibility for so-called exploitation of any country rests on the shoulders of the government that sold the country out!

What's the expression: "No one can take advantage of you unless you let them"

Pope Protest?

To protest the Pope's comments on the violent beginnings of Islam, muslims worldwide protested by rioting, burning cars, shooting into churches, kidnapping 24 westerners and beheading 12 of them. With each recorded beheading was the message "Islam is not violent, understand that before we kill you!". Ok, I exaggerated a bit!

While the Pope's comments are basically true, the Catholic Church also used violence when making conversions; especially in California & Mexico. One must ask what was the Pope's purpose in making such comments. To date I cannot see any.

The Pope has only added to the frustrating rhetoric of Bush, Castro, Chavez, and Ahmadinejad, truly the seeds of WWIII are being sown. Kofi to the rescue? Ask the people in Darfur about that!

Mayday - Maywood

As the battle over immigration, legal or otherwise, brews, one can't help but observe the dichotomy that it is being Mexican.

What is frequently observed is rejection of assimilating into America in favor of clinging to an identity defined by conquerers of generations ago. Any doubt? What language are they speaking? Any doubt? Go to Mexico and observe the treatment of those that are still Indios.

It reminds me of the controversy of La Malinche, Cortez's everything. Those that brand her a traitor would have a difficult time defining themselves with out her.

I think Mexicans need to take a good look at their sentimental attachment to Mexico, after all what has Mexico done for them? Mexico's greatest export is poverty, and it appears to be in abundant supply.

It didn't last long!

Originally I didn't want to include hyperlinks because they change so often, but I was primarily thinking of news sites that lose their stories after a month or so.

But I am so impressed with what Banksy did with the UK release of Paris Hilton's album I just have to mention him and a link to his work which is brilliant.

Since I'm in the mood for praise, here a link to the last honest Frenchman.
I really shouldn't be so harsh, but he has remarkable candor, especially for a director, but wait...he's not from Hollywood, so he would not be inclined to think all genocide is primarily the fault of America.
